Position Summary
The Security Officer supports Property Management in keeping residents and authorized visitors safe and secure. This morning-shift role focuses on patrols, access control, monitoring, and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the property and monitor surveillance equipment to keep the premises secure
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points, and grant entry to authorized residents and visitors
• Activate alarms and contact emergency services or management when assistance is needed
• Report irregularities and inform individuals of property policies and procedures
• Address unauthorized individuals according to post orders and escalate to management or law enforcement as needed
• Complete reports documenting observations, incidents, and surveillance activity, including witness information and signatures
• Monitor and adjust building and equipment controls as directed
• Conduct frequent interior and exterior patrols of assigned areas
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Availability to work Wednesday – Sunday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Maryland security guard certification, or ability to obtain one
• Strong observation and written reporting skills
• Professional, courteous demeanor with residents and visitors
